The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Programme was launched in last January and it is constantly gaining momentum. The interest is growing from both immigrants and employers. A new study on international students has pointed to that fact that international students who study and work in Canada earn more after the completion of their graduation. The study titled “international students, immigration and earnings growth: the effect of a pre-immigration host-country university education” was conducted to study the differences in wages for Canadian- educated immigrants, Canadian citizens and foreign educated immigrants.

The biggest factor for the conclusion emerging from the study is that students who land in Canada for studies and then stay on to work acquire a greater understanding of the job market in their chosen field of study.
