Student Study Permit Canada

Canada’s Student Direct Stream invites students from Senegal and Morocco

Canada’s Student Direct Stream (SDS) will soon be open to students from Senegal and Morocco, allowing them to quickly process their Canadian study permits.

The Student Direct Stream in an online program that processes permits to study in Canada. Their applications take approximately 20 days or more to process.

The SDS currently includes students from China, India, Pakistan, the Phillippines, and Vietnam. Senegalese and Moroccan students will be eligible for the stream starting September 9, 2019.

As a matter of fact, encouraging an influx of Moroccan and Senegalese students is in line with the interests of Canada’s Francophone Immigration Strategy, which aims to bring in more French-speaking residents to the country. It also correlates to the International Education Strategy, intended to diversify Canada’s international students.

Having a background as a student through the SDS can also provide plenty of benefits for Express Entry candidates. Express Entry’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) awards points for having a background at a Canadian educational institute.

How to apply for the Student Direct Stream
